Data sources

The nutrition figures in NutriLog come from public databases: the German Nutrient Database, Bundeslebensmittelschlüssel (BLS) 4.0, by the Max Rubner-Institut (2025, CC BY 4.0, blsdb.de), Open Food Facts (Open Database License), CIQUAL 2020 by ANSES (Licence Ouverte) and USDA FoodData Central (public domain). The BLS supplies most unpackaged foods and the cooking factors NutriLog uses to estimate the weight of a home-cooked dish.
